PUTTING THE DIAPER ON
Putting the Aristocrats One Size Diaper on your baby/young child is pretty self-evident and is the same whether it's the small, medium or large size you're using. However, for the sake of thoroughness, we'll walk you through these simple steps anyway. For the record, in the following demonstration we're using the small size.
The first step is a no-brainer! Lay the (folded) Aristocrats Diaper out on the changing surface and place the baby/infant on it as shown below.
(Alternatively, of course, it may be more convenient to slide the diaper under the child.)
Begin folding the lower part of the diaper up towards the baby's tummy, at the same time using your fingers to 'pinch in' the stretchy outer shell between the legs on either side of the pad (see below) so that, when in place, the shell fits snugly around the thighs.
Fold the diaper over the tummy and hold it in place as shown below. You should now be able to see either two or three fixed loops at the front of the diaper, depending on which size you're using.
Now, still holding the diaper in place, bring one of the points of the shell through whichever loop provides the best fit.
Now take hold of the other point and bring it across and through the same loop.
Finally, pull the two points tight enough to secure the diaper (but not so tight that it's uncomfortable for the baby) and tie the two points across the front of the loop as shown below, using a simple slip knot to hold it in place (see illustration further down). Make sure the outer shell is tucked in reasonably well around the legs to help prevent leaks. Finish up by putting on the diaper cover of your choice.
The illustration below shows how to tie a very simple slip knot. It doesn't look very strong but, being stretchy, that's all it takes to make everything secure. To undo, just pull on the looped tie (above).
(Note, being stretchy, you can confidently secure the outer shell without it being uncomfortable and without it cutting into the baby's sensitive skin.)
